Compared with the same period in 2021, the container throughput of China's container ports increased by 4% in the first nine months of this year.

It can be seen from the table that the ports in Shanghai, Ningbo, Zhoushan and Shenzhen are still the busiest container hubs in China, with 35 million TEUs, 26 million TEUs and 22 million TEUs respectively.

It is worth noting that Beibu Gulf, Dalian, Rizao and other small box ports are the only ports to achieve double-digit percentage growth, with growth rates of 19%, 12.6% and 11% respectively. On the other hand, Yinkou Port was the only port on the list where containers declined, with its container volume declining by 16.9%.

In addition, in the first nine months of this year, the freight volume of Chinese ports remained relatively stable in terms of tons, with a slight year-on-year growth of 0.1%.
